I purchased a bottle of Extra Virgin Olive Oil, so now what?

This question comes up frequently, because most people do not understand when and where to use a quality Extra Virgin Olive Oil. We have found that most people do in fact appreciate a quality Extra Virgin Olive Oil, so much so they only use it for “special occasions” and “special dishes.” These same individuals keep this bottle of olive oil for months, sometimes years. This is the wrong idea, and this way of thinking needs to be corrected. For one thing, ALL olive oils should be enjoyed as close to the productions date as possible. Olive oil breaks down over time.

We agree that Extra Virgin Olive Oil should be regarded as a “quality gourmet” product, because it is, for its taste and health reasons. However it should be used quickly and in all cooking, food preparation and appetizers i.e. don’t hold it for “special occasion,” use it “everyday.” 

The health benefits in using a quality Extra Virgin Olive Oil has shown in the last couple years to be phenomenal! In short, it helps your body last longer, fight off disease and prevents aging. We encourage you to use Extra Virgin Olive Oil in all your food preparation, and enjoy the many different tastes and varieties Lucero and other companies offer. It will, “change your life.”
